I'm a wife and mother of two beautiful kids (and three fur babies) who is
passionate about good food, great coffee, the beauty of nature,
and spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy bush walking,
swimming, watching the AFL footy (I'm a Pies supporter, but a Bombers member - long story!), and cuddling up with my two rescue Red Heelers, Jack and Ginny, and my rescue cat, Biscuit (aptly named by my son as she has a "Biscuit-shaped" blob on the top of her head!).
I am passionate about using food as medicine, and work with my patients to help them incorporate practical nutritional and lifestyle changes into their everyday lives to achieve optimal health and well-being. I love incorporating energetic healing modalities into my patients' treatment plans, particularly the Australian Bush Flower Essences. I find that by shifting the underlying emotional and mental causes associated with illness, while we work on the physical presentation of disease, I see far quicker and greater improvements in patients' health and well-being.
I understand that life is busy and that it's there to be enjoyed, so the changes I encourage my patients to make are always realistic, achievable and sustainable, and are designed to improve energy, mood, sleep and overall health.
I am particularly interested in the connection between the gut and the brain (known as the gut-brain axis), and as a result, my patient consultations are largely focused on mood and mental health (eg. chronic stress, anxiety and depression) and digestive health (eg. IBS-type symptoms, gut dysbiosis and leaky gut). With my patients, I explore the link between the gut and the brain, and how their health and functionality relates to what we eat and drink, how we move, our mindset, and the relationships we form with ourselves and others.
